In This Moment

Lived Experience Is Stabilizing Into Existance

Speaking from Stillness is a fun series transcribing unscripted thoughts while on morning dog walks in my jungle valley. I walk in stillness, then allow whatever arises to get recorded and transcribed. I try to keep them short. The transcript is lightly edited for clarity.

There’s a feeling when you are so in the moment. When you live second to second.

When you stare at something.

Your eyes could be taking in all of the forest, and the valley, and the lake, and the volcanoes, on a grand scale. But then you focus in on the tiny bees…bringing back their found nectar to the cone-nest-hive…or on the dead leaves on the nearby tree, and the yellow that they have, and the crumbling and the crinkling as they prepare to be shed.

And you realize, nothing else has this perspective, at this moment. No one else knows these bees exist, in this way. The bees know and recognize each other, but they don’t have a view of how they look. No one knows the leaf.

And if in this moment, you do not see them and recognize them, that perspective doesn’t exist. They don’t exist. For there is nothing. There is no perspective provided. There is no experience of the bees…from this perspective…that is Experienced.

Living in this moment…you can go from the wide of the sky, to the volcano, to the deep deep lake, to the valley, to the trees, to that tree, to that leaf, down to those bees…and you keep getting more and more and more focused.

And as you do, more and more and more becomes apparent. And then you start to realize, when you look at the wide scope, all of these things, there’s dead trees and bees everywhere.

But if I’m speaking of things, where the bees are not registering…or walking by, or not coming here to this remote, hidden away, shut down retreat center, where the bees have moved in.

If I was not here, in this moment, and still enough to see those things…they don’t Exist…because there is no ‘collection’ of the perspective, and understanding of the action.

I was in a river valley yesterday, and I saw garbage on the ground. And realized that ‘Who is the last person who’s ever seen this garbage?’ It’s a remote place, and if somebody did not come by and stop and see it, and just walked over it…

It Doesn’t Exist.

There’s so many things that are powerful about being in the moment,

For the one that is living and feeling in the moment,

But it is also about the things that Exist…

Because they are noticed, and experienced, and a perspective is provided…

In That Moment.
